Personally, 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hills, is like my compass, hahaha...have been reading again & again. Cos each time, different ideas after each read. Recommended to those who love personal development & self-growth. You'll definitely pick up many ideas along the reading. Happy learning! ;-)

Personally, I avoid reading stuff that are too "mainstream".
I hate when people buy a book because everybody else does.
That's the most sheep-like behaviour ever.

personally i like the series because i like how Edward Cullen is portrayed - vampire, godlike handsome-ness, sweet and caring to gf.
how to find a guy like that in real life?

That's the most sheep-like behaviour ever. | OK I hate to stereotype (but I'm doing it anyway so please don't get upset) - so far, I have not met any French who reads mainstream stuff. They only read very arty or thought-provoking literature! Quote:

But who can take the truth? My sister who is in her 30s (and single, and always in a fantasy about gorgeous guys and Prince Charmings) flew into a rage and refused to talk to me for days when I told her that.
And I'll probably get stoned to death by Edward Fan Club followers too.

It's not that bad.
Just probably over-rated. :/

I liked Twilight a lot at first because all my friends told me it was nice and urged me to read it. I barely got through the first book, I felt it was too draggy. The only time I was totally immersed in the book was when James was hunting Bella.
I've read New Moon and Eclipse since(haven't managed to get hold of Breaking Dawn yet) but I'm trying to finish the whole series mostly because I just want to read what happened in the end myself(although my friends already told me all the spoilers!)
I find that the Twilight series cannot measure up to Harry Potter. I can read each and every book of HP over and over again but I can't do the same for Twilight and the other three books. I guess it's a matter of preference that HP just trumps Twilight in every category for me. (No offence though)
The movie was much more bearable than the book(less draggy which is good), I'm one of the rare few who don't find Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson charming or handsome or anything. In fact, I actually liked Jacob Black/Taylor Lautner better in both the books and the movie. Is anyone else like that?

It makes for an entertaining read. I wouldn't call it the best thing ever, but I wouldn't call it the worst either. It's just a matter of perspective. I do think it'd a tad over-hyped though.
