What type of exercise are good for slimming certain body parts

Erm i want to know wad kind of exercise kind kind of tone or slim down the legs and arms cuz i already know that crunches are good for toning and slimming the stomach.My friend told me that 'sitting down' on the floor are good for toning the legs and i tried that but it kind of hurts after awhile =.=" so i wan to other type of exercise that can help =D

i heard,if u swing ur arms forward in a circular motion,like swiming liddat.wil tone up the arm
as for legs.try dancing?its always those dancers with nice slim legs heheh.

I read many weight loss articles. The most common advice is it is a myth to be able to spot reduce certain body parts. You can work on those body parts with crunches or push-ups or weights, but if you do not burn your excess body fats, you will only be building mucles into those body parts so those will have definition but won't become slimmer.

So if you want to slim down your spare tire, best is to cut down on your fats n simple carbs intake, and do more cardio as well as lifting weights. Yoga is good for toning your whole body but not good for burning fats. Hence vigorous exercises such as running, cycling, swimming are good options. Especially swimming cuz its a whole body workout, if u know how to swim.

Haha I'm trying to do what i said here. But I'm finding it hard to be motivated to keep jogging! Jogging is cheapest option after walking cuz u just need a pair of running shoes and somewhere to run. Haiz but its damn hard to keep doing. I like dancing but the classes are not cheap. sob...

She's right about the part that there is no method to spot reduce fat at a specific areas, say your thighs.
But just to add on, for maximum burning of fats, it should be low to moderate excercise for more then 20 minutes.
Vigorous excercise, say running for 10 minutes burns more carbo then fats.

^I guess its the determination!

Jogging is the best way to slim down while the rest like push up's, abs working out is and weights are just to firm and tone your body.

maybe u can try to keep on thinking abt the end-results that you're working towards.
Like reminding yrself how you wanna look like after a period of exercising or sumth.

doing cardiovascular excercises help alot. to tone your body and lose weight - do some cardiovascular excercises and do weight training. not too heavy weights though cas i dont think you want to gain any muscles. do excercises for at least 3 times a week
