Re: typical expenses in korea

Forgotten about the cost of subway tickets and stuff. But expect to pay at least US$4-5 for a one-dish meal like Bibimbap in a local eatery. You can eat more cheaply if you buy buns (with filling) from bakeries. If you wanna go even cheaper, you can always hit the supermarkets for loaves of bread, pre-cooked rice, seaweed, etc. The price of groceries there is the same as, or maybe just a tad more expensive than, what you might pay in Singapore.

Re: typical expenses in korea

I was in korea for 2 weeks a month or so ago. Standard of living is pretty much similar to Singapore. A ride on the subway will cost krw 900 or so, which is a little more than sgd 1. Food is a bit more costly than here, but other stuff not much difference.
