Ask yourself... are you a good friend?
I think I will get some sort of evidence in black and white like MSN or email of him saying that and then show my friend.
Some people would just ignore but since im reaching mid twenties soon.
At this age, we don't wanna waste any of our youth with useless people...
So I believe that I should be responsible enuff to inform her that her bf is a jerk.
And then I'll support her decision after that and be by her side should she decides to end the relationship.
I know my girlfriends are not the kind to throw the friends aside because of boyfriend.
And having the evidence in black and white shows that I am not lying.

i rather you let your friend know about it,
be it a crush or a stupid mistake of hers.
i mean,
if she can tell you that she likes you definitely she can tell others that too.
we're not asking you to betray her or anything.
just let him know.
alright,
what if they break up becos he found out about this?.
i guess you'll rather let him know now since there's still a negotiation space.
rather than him being the last to know and then he flares up.
and of course by then,
there goes your friendship. 
definitely you need to get the evidence first,
becos it's common sense that most of us choose to trust our partners rather than friends.

Thou shalt not covet over your friend's gf.
It is not good to get involved with relationships when the girl is your friend's gf or wife. Unless you dont want him as a friend anymore then by all means go ahead. You already know that she is your friend's gf and yet u are having thoughts of getting together with her. What would ur friend feel if he finds out about it? Just put urself in his shoes and think. Don't let a moment of folly ruin ur friendship. THere are tons of other girls out there. Place your priorities right and weigh the pros and cons. As with others said, u should tell ur friend about it or just ignore her.

My gf and I have an agreement if we find out our other half cheating on us, we will inform the other party asap!

i think no matter u like the gal or not, best to 1st collect enough evidence first then show hand with ur friend...
if u dun like the gal, u r doing ur friend a great favor... (why need evidence cos will she deny, he would most preobably believe her)
if u like tat gal, u r doing a favor 4 urself... but i suggest if u do like her, after informing ur friend, tell him u 2 can gong ping jing zhen... (at this case, ur friend next time got no chance to badmouth u le)
