Unfavoured Car Park

Every driver was a newbie before, shall we start a tread to ask our newbie driver/car lover to avoid some of the car parks and why.

1) Wheellock Place (small spiral to go up)
2) One Shenton (price and small car park)

Re: Unfavoured Car Park

I had a list of banned carparks for cars which too low or with bodykits should avoid.. can't find the list in this com.

think its just a personal preference, but i hate carparks with humps on slopes (which is basically most carparks out there), or when you have to stop on the slope to insert cashcard.

was using a kinda 'racing' clutch then and always hated slopes cuz it's not good to half clutch with it.
when possible, i used to recce the carpark first with my parent's car (auto).. then if it is safe, nxt time i go with my own. lol! if not i rather park somewhere i know is good, then walk.

anw ashlyn.. i think its your car big, not the lot/space small!

Re: Unfavoured Car Park

Well here's my view on "unfriendly" carpark, not about costing but things to take note when driving.

Bugis Carpark - cannot enter via the hotel entrance if not "bua" lip and bottom

Beach road - opposite crawford food centre, same problem as above

Junction 8 - when exiting car is travelling upslope. If u take for granted, will kena car in opposite lane (saw before )

Yep Bugis is the worst! The hump is too high, and it's at the top of the hill.

that one not so bad, i think another worst one will be the simei east point upstair car pack, when you want to exit that time, the road is so narrow..

Re: Unfavoured Car Park

First attempt when I got my new car went to TaMpines Mall was not that bad. I know its kinda narrow but Simei East Point carpark is definitely very narrow. Went there once in someone else car and I got so worried so when I go Simei East Point I usually park at the basement carpark lolz Never dare to try to drive it upstairs but I know some Exit in Suntec is very narrow as well.. so if you get BIG car better be careful.. Lucky my car is small small hoho

IMM carpark is my favourite damn UBER BIG hahahahahaha Even the spiral exit downwards also very spacious.... Best part of IMM. First 3 hours parking free East Point 1hr is 2.14 and Suntec plus PS all very ex

Lolx.. Tampines Mall have 2 exit, one is near the Mac one which I dont really like, U can see a lot of stretch mark on the both side of the wall.

Simei Upgoing car park was very v v narrow, once i drive so close and scare i will hit the wall anytime, i wind down the window and feel like pushing the wall away, and of cos i know is impossible la!~

If going suntec area, tried parking in Marina is cheaper. But I think town area car park are all v ex, esp CBD area is roughly ard $5 per hr during the day

Yea simei East Point is very bad.. You need to be very careful when driving up slope to the carpark. Tampines Mall Entrance via Mac I hate is becos the TAXI always Q there and you have to enter via 2nd Lane which is like a big left U turn and if u enter via first lane, we need to get a bigger angle else sure kena the side. Exit wise I never like it because of the Taxi turning out via the Mac side cos they never GIVE WAY but I never dare try Century Square Carpark yet. I always park at TM

CBD area parking usually blood suckers no choice but next time I rather go IMM damn big and spacious car park and everything also have. If not I would rather go Ikea / Giant /Courts Megamart.. FREE PARKING woootz hahaha Maybe you should start a favoured car park list Ash might be fun
