I know there are a lot of cases of conning in this shop. But this happen to my friends =x They never check the net about this shop and decide to buy XBOX 360 from them. Same old tactic. The price lure them in. My 2 friend brought two XBOX 360 for $399 each.

The Story.
My friends went to the shop and ask the guy " Eh, your XBOX 360 got mod one or not? "
The GameFactory guy reply in a nice tone " Yes, we include controller and everything just for $399 "
My friends " Hmmm. Okay, give us 2 set. "
The GF guy " Went to take 2 box of XBOX 360 " -put on the table-
My friends " Can we check the console? "
GF guy " Yes, you can check. But once you tear the seal away it consider sold "
Friends " Than how do we check like that? "
GF guy " You guys just look like that from outside la! Can go home open and check, if there any problem you can find us. "
Friends " *Checking from outside* Hmmm, look okay to me. "

So they hand over the money. took the set and leave.
They went to my another friend house to test the set.

1st set.
Plug in everything to the tv. Starting work fine. After 5min light turn red. Cannot on anymore. And the controller got stain on it, dirt on the side , scratch mark on the console.

2nd set.
Cant even plug in the console. Press the button and spring came off. Usb cant connect.
Cant even on also. Stain on controller , dirt on the side , scratch mark on the console.

So the next day they went back to ask for an exchange. They guy say okok put your console here for a few day we will get to the suppler to do the repair.
Than my friend say " What repair? Change a new set for me. "
The guy " OKOK, i call you when done. "
So we went off.

And after a 4 day they never call us. So my friend decide to go down and ask for refund.
They say cannot refund la. Anything you call mike lor. Another scammer guy. Than we call mike. The mike more evil -.-
Mike: You need to pay an extra 120 buck to repair the inside chip. Cos u the chip too old already.
Than my friend disagree and say we want refund.
Mike: We dont do refund. You want you pay us and we repair or you take back your set.
So after a long argue. My friend report the police.
And the police came. But still hopeless. They police say this is not a crime. You cant report to us. You should report to CASE. * i dont know what that *
The police say it something like help to inverstigate all the con seller stuff. Which is located at Ghim Moh. *near bouna vista*

So we say okay and we leave the place. We gonna do the report tomorrow. And gonna call the newspaper to make news about that shop. And maybe gonna report to Ministry of Trade. My friend still say want go find lawyer sue them. LOL!

Let just hope my friend get back their money >.>
We should make them close down.

u should go contact all those ppl who got scammed and ask them to sue the shop together.

The police say this is not under crime so they cannot do anything. Need to report to CASE.

I think CASE stands for Consumer Association of Singapore if I am not wrong.

And yes, CASE does deal with this stuff as long as you have the evidence (which is the receipt).

Sell modified consoles not consider crime? Report to Microsoft lor. Microsoft will go after the shop.

Best is not to get modified Xbox as will lose out on the warranty especially Xbox is well known for the RROD problem. Not sure if it will still happen for the new Jasper set and only time will tell if the occurence has been reduced. Can always get second hand original games from local forum or Ebay to save money.

Your friends should walk away when the shop said cannot check. If they modified the set, the original seal sticker has already been broken before. So the sticker is likely they pasted back themselves.
