Help I want to reformat my NEC computer!!

I want to reformat my NEC computer but I have completely no idea to all this computer stuff. So I would appreciate if you don't use so much computer terms and try to provide pictures if possible.

I think the model is Powermate DL H7204.

Can you also tell me what i should do after reformating my computer, like how to connect to the internet again etc.

What is the current problem you have till you want to format it? Usually after you format and reinstall your OS, you have to install back your driver in order for your hardware to work

Cos nowadays when I start up my computer, it will like hang when loading my settings. Then even if wait for hours will still hang there. Then my friend told me it should be virus and asked me to reformat my computer but she also doesn't know how to do it.
I have the disc for installing the drivers. But I am not sure how to reformat my computer.

Beside driver disc do you have any recovery disc or does your laptop have recovery partition?

I don't think so. But I have this disc then the heading is "microsoft windows XP Home Edition SP2 Installation CD". Issit that disc that you are talking about??

Yup, that is the disc, boot it up and follow the instruction to format

Then what about the internet. Cos after i reformat right, I will need to connect my internet to my computer again right? Then how do I do it??

Install those driver that is inside your driver disc, are you using wireless or wired?

Reformat using your Windows XP Home Edition SP2 Disc, after that install the drivers using your Drivers Disc and completed installation you should be able to surf net.

@cisco: Sorry to trouble you again but how do I install the ethernet driver? Also, what settings do I need to do for the BIOS menu. Cuz I tried it just now, then the screen says that my configuration does not match with the recovery disc or something like that.

No not yet. Cuz when I put in the disc it says my configuration does not match with the disc so cannot. Now using my cousin's laptop

You try to go into the BIOS and set the boot sequence first, put the Windows XP disc in

Which one should I put at the top and which one at the bottom, for the boot sequence.
