From the established links between weight and weight-related illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain forms of cancer, it becomes obvious that weight loss is not the right approach. Ideal weight management takes into consideration three major parameters - body
shape (e.g. waist-to-hip ratio), body
composition (e.g. lean muscle mass, bone mineral density) and body
function (e.g. fasting blood glucose, inflammation level).
For many people across the globe, to achieve and maintain normal weight (at least) by 'eating less, exercising more' is not do-able, for an entire lifetime. Indeed, this is NOT even necessary! As long as we can recognize the existence and equal importance of the diet (food and water for life) AND the behavioriet (food and drinks for lifestyle), it becomes possible to 'eat more, exercise less'. Reason being, healthy behaviorietary food and drinks are free from bio-energy (ATP), in addition to being free from artificial flavours, artificial colours, artificial flavourings, aspartame, acesulfame K, sugars, fats, proteins, carbs and vitamins. We get energy, carbs, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals from the diet already. So, the behavioriet need only to taste sweet, delicious and be free of harmful chemicals!
