I didn't went to the theatre to catch one but my brother brought back some DVDs to watch at home. I watched The Pianist. Wanted to watch the movie way back when it was shown but non of my friend was into this sort of movie... 
It speaks of a gifted pianist who miraculously survived WW2. The show showed how he went through persecution and the lack of food through the years as the war swept across Europe. With the help of his friends, he mange to find accomodation and food to live.
Ironically, it was a German commander, who accidentally found him hiding among the rundown houses, help the man with food and clothing to survive through the war.
