Why Singapore men and women don't married each other?

Why do Singapore girls married foreigners mainly caucasian and why Singapore men married girls from third world country mainly China, Indonesian, Vietnamese? Is this the result of inferiority complex of Singapore men, lower income of Singapore men or simply that Singapore men are not romantic? Is the suggestion by PM Lee to ask parents to matchmake their sons and daughters acceptable?

No flaming in this topic, its just a social issue. Personally I find Singapore men boring, their only topics of discussion is football and their dreamed cars.

On a few occasions I asked my male colleagues to go out for lunch with me (not that I am interested in them), they turned me down. They rather stick among themselves. Too shy?

My bf said its because Singapore men very conservative, they would not try to initiate the first move until the girl gave em some sort of signal. Scared of rejection?

How do Singapore men initiate the first move then if they are too shy to talk? Send valentine flower, chocolate, birthday card?

But serious, i dunno abt singapore guys romantic level. But i think IF singapore guys really r not romantic or fun loving enough, its becoz the society shape us. I mean working life. In order to have romantic, u need $, in order to have $, u need work. N everyone knows, 1 day of romantic maybe = 2 weeks of working's pay. Of coz guys got to work n work, overtime, perhap guys will become more dull due to stress in work etc.

N aso, maybe standard of living in singapore too high for ppl to cope, hence gals will prefer guy with stable financial background etc. Then all these filter out all those Without "so call stable" fiancial background. Maybe these grp of ppl r just average income ppl, so-so onli. Hence these grp of ppl will look for other country gals lor. Personally, i aso got the intention to look for other country gal.

Whats TS means ? im new in this forum and what you said in the first paragraph is very true, society shapes us , cause its really hard for a man to live in singapore as he had to be th sole breadwinner if he has a family of his own. And i personally think females singaporeans only go with somebody who have wealth but not those poors, thats my opinion , no offences to the females .

TS= thread starter. hehe. Ya, n not forgetting our NS liability. Tough to be guy in singapore. N from what i c, gals in singapore somehow AIM higher than the guys here. Most guy usually dun mind simple life, like living HDB etc. But u ask the gals, most already plan hw to buy 1st condo even at age 23. Some guys do have such thinking, but veri veri few. Hence i think its these "few" who will eventually win the heart of sg gals.

need lah. u think $ really everything meh. but sg gals veri hard to please. They wan stable financially but not a workaholic. They wan romantic but not playboy. Its like, they wan u to be in the top or above average management level, earning above average income, but still got time to accompany them. Then their bday still got time to think of romantic event despite ur workload. Ya, i can, provided my father is PM Lee or CEO of UOB or DBS. Like die die got to be above average, slightly above aso can. Cannot below or average one. But walau, if everyone above average, how can be possible!
