I'm not here to diss you, but the moment I stepped into your thread and read the content, I thought that you were asking for discussion whether we should be proud of foreign talents bringing in medals. Forgive me for my tone, but in the first place, your intentions and topic for discussion were not clear enough.
Now now, you might think that I'm crapping or someone bursting with ego (not that I give a damn about), but there's a fine subtle difference between what you replied me with and what you actually opened the thread with.
So now, with regards to your reply - Do we really need all these... medals and stuff? If you ask me, I'd prolly say "Maybe, maybe not". BUT, if we've won it, then let's rejoice, why bother asking for a discussion over it? In the end, there will always be differing views and opinions, like how I might love apples and you hated them since birth. In the end, people will forever bicker and argue over it or the government's decision to spot talents from overseas rather than from Singapore itself; it's really up to the individual to change his mindset and whatnot.
Oh regarding my usage of "bullshiet", no I'm not saying his/her points were "bullshiet". As a matter of fact, they were strong and valid with which I had much difficulty in replying.
However, if in any way you still think I'm acting like a goon/idiot for being so stubborn, then by all means go ahead. Have a good day ahead. | Haha.. Think it's a misunderstanding lah. My questions IS whether it is something to be proud of that we won with FT. Then you said about the flag flying at the Olympics so I just replied whether there is this need or not. Two different matters.
Oh anyway I did notice that really even countries like Holland import China nationalities to play for them and I thought it was quite funny for a Chinese to represent an European country arh. Haha.

Lol the funny thing is that table tennis originated in England yet it seems that China is the strongest in it.

Yeah, it's just one's opinion/mindset on the medal issue.
Anyway, Olympics are over.
