Help Wisdom tooth for NSF

Can I go to polyclinic and ask for referral for NDC? instead of consultation?
It is still cover under 11B right? How long will it take? I mean the appointment? 2 month? or within week?

anyone can share experience? I not sure whether does it suppose to be in NS section or health section.

I heard people say Polyclinic dental service 11B doesn 't cover, must go NDC or hospital...can anyone verify?

as long ur are nsf. u can go to ur MO and get referal letter. it will be fully covered. i extracted 4 1 shot

Ouchs. that sure hurts.

Last time, I didn't extract them even if I can do it free and can get MCs.

Too scared of the pain.

u should see ur dental officer in camp to get a referral letter.Most probably longer than extracting in camp.

i go polyclinic and get referral letter
got an appointment 2 weeks later
my case was faster as that time i am 1 month due to ord
the charges will be cover under 11B

for me... i go polyclinlic on the same day i booked an appt... i went for consulation n some polishing n scaling.... ( i got habit of going dentist once a yr) i paid upfornt... then 50% was claimed later... n at the same time i get a referral to AH for consulation on wisdom tooth.... the part when i was in AH everything is free....

i booked a appt... n i went took x-ray on tat day...consulation n book a surgry date (i was also given MC for this appt)

2 weeks later monday.. i went for extraction (gotten 5 days MC)
the next monday i went back to remove thread n give next surgery date (1 day MC)
the next week monday i went for another extraction (5 days MC)
coming monday same thing remove thread (1 day MC)

so in the end i din go camp abt 1 mth
Dental (p.m off)
fri (AH consulation) (MC)
Mon-fri (MC)
Mon(MC) tues-fri (Off)
Mon-fri (MC)
Mon(MC) Tues- Fri (Off)
so in the end i din go camp for 21.5 working days

Ya, should be able to go through your camp. I didn't do it during my army days; my wisdom teeth refused to come out.

So for my case it was only extracted recently. I got a referral letter from Polyclinic to NDC. Surprisingly my appointment was pretty fast; just about a week. And lucky for me, everything covered by Medisave (yes, still my money). So better to do it while you are still serving your NS.

You must first check if the polyclinic has dental facilities. From what I remember, AMK and Woodland have dental facilities. I went to the one at AMK. You have to call to book for appointment first. Also, must inform them if you are going for the subsidise rate or inform them that you are still NSF and ask them how you can claim through your 11B. Hope this help. If need to, tell them your situation and if you are urgent. For me, I think I got my appointment like a few days.
