Women who've had babies

Any suggestions on how to lose the excess baby weight after giving birth? I was doing really well at first,(I think it was mainly due to breastfeeding) but now it seems as if my weight is at a standstill. I need to lose this baby weight and fast! It is really bogging me down. Any suggestions?

Have you tried counting calories? It worked great for me. If you ever decide going down that route, then I recommend you to get an app known as ''My Fitness pal''. I downloaded it for android some weeks ago and I must say this is an awesome app, because it allows you to keep track of the calories you need to consume in a day in order to lose weight.

It also helps you to track your workout routine and so on. A very cool app

I don't have children but highly recommend Pilates (which you can do in the privacy of your own home) as it tones your body and strengthens your core. Pilates is also a gentle exercise. If you need help finding Pilates workouts, look at YouTube, I highly recommend the Windsor Pilates 20 minute workout, which has been uploaded to YouTube.

Hmmm ...I've never considered Pilates but now that you have brought it to my attention, I think that I will go check out Youtube in search of some exercises. How effective would you say it is say after a 20 minute workout 5-days a week?

I've tried low calorie dieting previously with the help of HCG drops, and that was of no help. The HCG were supposed to help curb your appetite and they didn't seem to have any effect on doing so at all. I absolutely could try your method though which counting the calories that I'm suppose to intake each day. I do want to know if that method was difficult for you, or does the app aid you in giving tips on how to stay full and help with cravings?

I also just had my baby four months ago. I've been doing a 24 day ab challenge, cardio, and toning exercises. You should eat healthier while exercising.

I have a baby and I really liked using the MyFitnessPal app. I discovered that I was actually eating too little to lose weight because my body thought I was starving.

For loosing excess baby weight there is no need to deprive yourself from your favorite food, you can still eat them but do it in moderation.Also daily spend minimum of 30 minutes in performing physical activities in morning.This will reduce your body weight.

Agreed with sophiecoombe, even though I'm a guy...

Just eat normally, and healthy... Don't need really control your diet or what..

Exercise is important...

After having a baby is very important to have the support of the ones around you, but this begins the moment you get pregnant because the key to lose weight after the baby is born is not gaining too much while you're pregnant.

Yes, breastfeeding can help lose weight.
Maybe try to find a diet that could help you lose weight like if it should be more of vegetables or more of fruits since we have different body type/metabolism. Also if possible be more active like doing at least 30 minutes exercises a day.

Eating smaller portions and drinking lots of water is definitely the way to go. If you really want to see that fat go you should start walking for even 45 minutes daily...it works for me.
