What would the world be like 20 yrs from now?

Hmmmm.......have you ever wonder how much 20 yrs time can change? 20 yrs ago, we never had internet. I still remember I was just 5, playing nitendo and gameboy....but 20 yrs later, we have the internet, the ipod, the lan games and we have phones that can play music, take pictures and make calls.

I wonder what it would be like 20 yrs from now? Can car fly? Can we teleport? or maybe we can become invinsible at will? hmmmmmm

i think the world will be quite broken
more dry deserts all over the place
more flooding due to ice metling... which is due to global warming
also imagined there to have more diseases... there used to be mad cow, den pig infection, den chicken flu... i guess there will be vegetable flu soon -.-

on the bright side however...
probably AIDS will have a cure
probably cancer will have a cure
probably watch can also use internet
probably everyone will be using blue ray disc rather than DVD

probably everyone will have a handphone size all in one universal controller ---> phone, 100GB mp3, 100GB video, T1 internet, 20Megapix camera 100 times zoom, PSP, Nintendo DS, universal controller for TV, light, fan, air-con, computer, home theatre system

yep, all in one handphone size device... i wish

but weather will confirm be hotter as usual...

and some countries will suddenly encounter floods.

technology wise as usual will improve and more advance...

i read from an article that a chicken was being used in an experiment for teleporting. They break it into atoms and transfer to another place and tried to piece is back. However, they managed to break and send to the area, but the piecing failed. Meaning the head might be at the leg and all the parts were disoriented. Thus, i think teleporting is possible.

Becoming invisible at will... its also possible too, as long as u can bend the light. Theres another experiment that occurs too. that i heard from my friend. There was this submarine, and there were this group of crew in it. They managed to make it invisible, and back to visible. However, the crewmen all either suffered from mental illness or commited suicide.. Due to the use of radioactive waves to bend the light... However, this i am not very sure as i never read it from a reliable source =)

hmm i dont know. maybe everyone will migrate to mars and make friends with the aliens. x)

but seriously, if the co2 is still increasing at this rate, i think the in 20 yrs time quite a few places will be under water. i've watched a documentary during lecture and the statistics show that if the co2 increases in exactly the same rate as it is in 20 yrs time, the place where the world trade center once stand will be under water. x) of course part of the other areas round the world will be too.

1.) Singapore GST will be to 12%
2.) A few parts of the world location will sink into the water but the good news is that a mini ice age may rejubvenute the place.
3.) Weather will be a terrible thing.
4.) Singaporeans will be either business man, government officers or office workers. Simple as that.
5.) people would be sick of terrorism and war cos they find it pointless when everyone will eventually hurt themselves if they continue to do so.
6.) Strange i know but i think girls will be more valuable than boys.
7.) Nothing would extinct and probably something would be back cos of cloning....
8.) there are tales that human could live up to 1000 through medical technology probably they could now.
9.) Spring of vitality and youth are real and discovered. Pepsi and Coke are fighting for the rights to own the spring.
10.) We discovered a way to break through the barrier of light in space travelling
11.) Human discovered that they can compress their meal into pills so essentially the meals would be replaced.... those pills are to be produced cheaply by robots leaving people with more spare time.
12.) No licence for cars are needed. All you need to do is to punch the address of the destination, they will send you there....

i dont think i want that to happen. imagine all we eat is pills. then no more delicious meals anymore??? lol

lol u guys say until like the world is gonna change totally in 20 yrs. bear in mind its only 20 yrs!! 2 decades!! i think maybe these things can happen in say 100 yrs?

anyway i think 20 yrs from now, the world will be almost the same as now. only technology will be slightly more improved.
