u can plug any hdd into the xbox as long as u use the xbox formatter but the usable size is max 120gb, the troublesome part is it's not very reliable so my fren who has been using that method now wants a hdd (and he wans a 20gb one)

Is redsands selling the original hadrdisk? Last I checked a few months ago, the person who took my call isn't sure if it was original.

hi, it's a loose pack type meaning it's from the factory manufacturing these hdds but it's not from microsoft's sales channel, so there's no microsoft warranty but we give 1 mth warranty for these harddisks.

So does it have a serial number that when I call up MS for the transfer cable, they would be able to give me one since it's a MS product?

I need to transfer my saves from my 20gig HD.

no u wont be able to get a transfer cable free because it only comes with the official purchase. you can come transfer it in the store but do keep in mind that the transfer is only one time off and will delete ur old data in the old 20gb.

u can then also trade in ur 20gb hdd. =)

no, the hdd uses a special connector, do read instructables.com for details if u wan to use normal sata hdd. .

I have been able to get a transfer cable from MS despite my HDD being a loosepack. Just call them up and say you got it as a gift and now need the transfer cable.

Just find for WD brand if you want to make your very own 120GB HDD
