Recently, I have came across the taoism form of divination, known as Yi ching [I ching] and find it kind of interesting. It involves the use of those taoism signs found on the bagua [those straight lines and broken lines thingy]. Anybody here actually knows how to make predictions using Yi-Ching? Any good websites or books to recommend?

if u understand books in chinese there are a few publication on the I-ching that can be bought in bookstores.
they are pretty good.
cant recommend any as i once read one of such book a long time ago | |

Hi I am new SGClub member. I recommends this book called:
The I Ching
An Illustrated Guide to the Chinese Art Of Divination

The book will teach how to do IChing divination by using the most ancient way.
The easiest way to do IChing divination is to prepare six old china coins (tong qian), put them in your hand. Think what you are trying to predict/ask, then throw the coin vertically out from your hand. Each Iching hexgram or trigram (total 64 trigram) consist of 6 lines represented by the 6 coins. So the first coin furthest away from you will be the first/top line, the coin closest to you will be the last/bottom line. And sort them in order 1 to 6 using the formula. If any of the coin face up, it's a yang line. If any coin face down, it's a yin line. Write down the combination & check it out with any I Ching book or Iching website. Yi ching or I Ching is a ancient book uses for divination or like fortune telling. The book was believe to be developed in 3000 BC (about 5000 year already). Apart from being a method of divination, as it is commonly known, the I Ching is in it's essence a source of wisdom. It has been widely uses for thousands of years. The accuracy of I Ching predictions remains it an impenetrable mystery.
On Youtube, there is a few video regarding the 21 Dec 2012 doomsday, one of the scientists uses I Ching to calculates the doomsday. The day, month & year is totally the same as the doomsday predicted by the Mayan people or Mayan calendar. Visit my website or Youtube for the doomsday video.
