Yoga

I've been doing Yoga and trying to eat healthier for months now. I've been watching my portions and only drinking water. I've gained 5 pounds! I thought I was supposed to lose weight, what am I doing wrong?

Do you look the same in the mirror but the weight just went up?

Cause there's many factors such as weight in general will fluctuate day to day(1 - 2kg). Usually people will weight lighter in the morning due to dehydration taking places in the night.

Maybe it's just water but not anything else.

Yoga can be simply defined as set of pose couple with breathing techniques which help, impart strength and flexibility to the body while helping to equal the mind and its thinking. Yoga can not only achieve physical, health but also mental and spiritual well being.

if you start eating less, your metabolism rate will go down. maybe thats why you started to gain weight. you should try exercising

It simply means that your energy intakes are still higher than energy output, try to lower down your carbohydrates intake more, for example in the evening/night consume fruits only

what kind of yoga are u doing? most yoga is not for loss weight =.=
i think the only yoga that might help in loss weight is hot yoga.. but most likely is loss of water too..

do weights and low intensity cardio instead!

I am doing yoga since 5 year. I have not any physical problem. My body is fit as 15 year youth.

Surya Namaskara m will be helpful for reducing your weight gradually. Do every morning and evening, definitely you will feel it.

Eat foods that are beneficial for you, not just for the sake of filling your tummy.
Like those lower in calories but yet keep you full, I think.
You can try drinking lemon & honey with warm water in the morning.
Lemons are awesome.
Or eat an apple before a meal like 1 hour before, so that when you eat your meal you won't feel that hungry?
And ah ha!
Try blending smoothies especially green smoothies loaded with fibers and low calories.
They make you full easily + super healthy.
Find yummy vegetables like Broccoli, Cauliflower just blanch it for awhile and can be taken as a snack!
Actually I'm kinda following this routine for awhile for other personal reasons, just feel like sharing.
You can google for more tips too.

it is clear from recent studies that yoga is idyllic exercise which is aimed at fitness and wellness . Few years ago, people weren't much aware about this exercise but they have come to know that it is useful in terms of fitness , health, weight loss .

You should carry on your yoga exercise, it is good for the weight loss.
Along with this yoga exercise you should also do some cardio exercises at morning before or after the yoga.
You should also take some weight loss effective diet along with this workout.

Take raw veggies diet plan or water diet plan if you want to lose the weight along with regular exercise.

Yoga has many health benefits, though it is not mainly for losing weight. After doing yoga regularly, you maybe slimmer and maybe not. But you must be healthier than you are before practicing yoga.
