OH MY GAWD FINALLY!!!

Singapore is late again(a whole month late).

Been hearing great reviews about this Zombie comedy. Even better than "Shaun of the Dead"


Fans of Left 4 Dead should check it out. Will post my full review soon.

lol another Shaun of the Dead-like movie.

Well, not really.

If shaun of the dead spoofed the classic "slow moving shambling Zombies" made famous by George A Romero, this one spoofs the more modern fast running zombies made popular by 28 days later, Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead and Left 4 Dead(the game).

I must say...I just watch it..very recommended....easy and sweet....plaian entertainment....
dark humor is all around...and really better than Scary movie series.....


a bit violent...but not gore...

I dont think Shaun of the dead is available in singapore.............I know for a fact that Dawn of the Dead was banned or something.....

WEll its not on DVD here thats for sure.
And actually, i think it was 28 Days later that started the whole "running zombies" thing. It came out in 2002. Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead came out in 2004.

SINGAPORE : Enough with the schmaltzy rom-coms, there's no better way to end the year than with a fun zom-com.

Thanks to a plague, our world is now overrun by flesh-eating, rabid zombies and the only thing that matters is survival.

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a big neurotic wuss while Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is a gun-toting, zombie-slaying badass whose goal is to get the world's last Twinkie.

Talk about a zombie movie epidemic! Thanks to loads of gumption, clever effects and the chemistry between the cast, "Zombieland" is a fantastically funny action horror piece, earning itself a proud place right next to Danny Boyle's acclaimed "28 Days Later" and Simon Pegg's hilarious "Shaun Of The Dead".

The blood flows freely but, more importantly, so do the laughs. It's never mean-spirited, thanks to first-time director Ruben Fleischer's light and irreverent touch, and the screenwriters obviously did all their zombie-film homework.

Jesse Eisenberg is great as the lovable geeky Columbus, while Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin shine as the savvy survivalist sisters Wichita and Little Rock.

Yet, it's Harrelson as the showboating peacock with nothing to lose who makes the biggest impact. In a wide-eyed performance, he stops just short of completely chewing the scenery in this M18 flick - even the zombies aren't capable of matching his ferocious bite. Coupled with the best cameo this year by Bill Murray, this is absolutely worth running like a lunatic into the cinema for.
